Ladies at Table
Illinois Federation of Families (IFF) is a statewide, not-for-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of children with emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs and their families through support, education, training and advocacy. IFF strives to identify, improve, expand and individualize services to children and young adults, while providing a voice for families at local, regional and state levels. IFF also empowers parents to effectively partner with agencies and educational entities to make informed decisions regarding supports and services for their children.

Our mission statement
at IFF includes the goal of enhancing the lives of children and youth with emotional and behavioral disorders and their families through support, education, training and advocacy.  We focus on family preservation, supporting and advocating for community based services and supports for children, adolescents and families.  We continually strive to expand our statewide network for, and with, individuals and groups throughout Illinois, identifying resources and developing partnerships so that families are not alone in caring for their children with emotional and mental health needs and difficult behaviors.  Working with families of children and youth, IFF helps families to identify and locate natural supports and community resources. IFF also facilitates and advocates for meaningful parent involvement and the inclusion of family voice at all levels of decision-making.
